Nearby Nijo castle, a nice and cozy place for cury. 3 types (that can be mixed). The place is run by one man, nice and calm. There's not much space in the restaurant, maybe fit 10-15 ppl.

Wow, just wow. This truly was a beautiful curry selection, and it tasted even better. I walked by this place and smelt how good the food was from outside that I had to stop and have lunch here. It was a calm atmosphere inside which added to the great experience.

We were struggling to find somewhere to eat, I wanted a curry and my partner wanted octopus. We bumped into this gem of a restaurant. They offered curry squid with pakistani chicken curry with rice. Its a small restaurant with about seating for 5-6, a one man chef. I was dubious if I would like it but I was blown away with the flavours, it all worked. The quantity was sufficient as I was full. They also had jerk pork on the menu. Amazing place we loved it.

I’m usually not a huge fan of Indian food, but my dad loves it so we gave this place a shot. The food was incredibly flavourful. We each got the variety plate, which came with rice and three different types of curry. I especially liked the one with squid (light green in colour), which had a bit of a subtler flavour that the rest. I think the menu changes periodically, so it may be different when you go! I’m gathering from other reviews that this place leans more into Indian style curry, while still utilizing some traditional Japanese flavours. My dad was a huge fan of this place. Cool owner, good music, good food. A no brainer if you like curry.

1st visit: Staff told my partner and I they were closed, even though they definitely were not. We came in at 1 p.m., there were multiple free tables and the restaurant didn't close until 3:30 p.m. 2nd visit: We revisited the next day at 11:30 a.m., and were welcomed in this time. The food was very tasty and distinct from other curries we have had in Japan.

Omg best curry ever. We are from London - a place with some of the best curry outside of South Asia, but we have never had curry like this. It’s very unique, a true Japanese fusion curry, we had squid, mackerel and chicken curry all on the same plate, for 1300. They went together very well and flavour was bursting out from every mouthful. Thank you chef!

The best dang curry I have ever eaten, no lie. Felt the need to post a review right after finishing the dish. Run by a cool guy who cooks your order. ‘80s Japanese rock hits in the background.

Absolutely delicious! Not so much Japanese curry (other reviews and at least one corner of his menu suggests it's a Pakistani take on curry) but in any case it was damn delicious. Friendly service, great atmosphere (local art on the walls, particularly excellent choice of low-key/unobtrusive hip hop on the stereo), generous portions for a very fair price. Big, big success, would go again in a heartbeat!
